Biodiversity Convention

As part of its efforts to chart a new course for U.S. leadership in protecting the global environment, the Administration signed the Convention on Biological Diversity , an international agreement to stem the extinction of species and preserve irreplaceable genetic resources for medicines and other valuable products.
