NAFTA Debate
On November 9, 1993, Vice President Gore debated the merits of the
North American Free Trade Agreement
(NAFTA) with businessman Ross Perot on "Larry King Live."
Congressional passage of the NAFTA was an act of bipartisan
leadership, bringing together lawmakers from both parties and both
chambers of Congress. The President signed it into law on December 6,
1993.
